Come in from Garden State Parkway Exit 13 on Avalon Boulevard, or over the Townsends Inlet Bridge on Ocean Drive. Public lots are at 32nd St & Dune Dr, 28th–30th Streets at the beach, 21st St & 5th Ave, and 20th St between Dune and Ocean Drives.

Beach tags (summer only)
Needed for ages 12 and up, May 23–September 7 in 2026. 2026 prices: $10 daily, $18 weekly, $42 seasonal ($37 pre-season), and they're good in Stone Harbor too.

Guarded beaches are staffed 10am–5pm from Memorial Day Friday through Labor Day weekend. The beach is closed nightly from 9pm to 4am.

Dogs aren't allowed on the beach, boardwalk or dunes from March 1 to September 30. Elsewhere in town, keep them leashed.
