Join us for this interactive program about the historical figure, Calamity Jane. CALAMITY JANE'S DIARY is brought to life by writer and performer Gayle Stahlhuth, who studied the diary and the events surrounding it. That there was a Martha Jane Canary (1852-1903), also known as Calamity Jane, there is no doubt. But was she a scout for the army? Did she marry and have children? Was she a performer in Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show? When Jane's diary surfaced in 1941, it was proudly displayed at The Western Trails Museum in Billings, Montana. But is it an accurate description of Jane, or shrouded in myths?
