DESCRIPTION:Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM\n\nAn afternoon learning about waterbi
 rd migration at the east coast’s only full-time seawatch! Youth birders 8
  years old and up are encouraged to join NJA Staff and Volunteers to witn
 ess sea ducks\, loons\, gannets\, gulls\, and more migrants south from CM
 BO’s Avalon Seawatch.\n\nEach fall\, an average of almost 800\,000 seabir
 ds are counted at the Avalon Seawatch\, with some years reaching a season
  total of over one million migrating birds. During this three-hour progra
 m\, the group will spend time at the Seawatch identifying migrating seabi
 rds\, discussing the five most common species observed from the count\, a
 nd learning how this migration watch is conducted!\n\nRecommended age for
  field trip: 8 years old and up. Parents or guardians are required to acc
 ompany their children during this program at no additional charge. When r

 ayers appropriate for prevailing weather conditions. The weather can diff
 er considerably from nearby inland areas and may be warmer\, colder\, or 
 windier so it’s best to be over prepared. We may have to bird in the rain
 \, so please bring your rain gear.\n\nTRANSPORTATION: Please arrive at th
 e appointed time with a full tank of gas\, as transportation to field sit
 es is by private vehicles.  We may walk up to 1.5 miles\, over generally 
 level\, sometimes muddy or sandy terrain. Some trips involve walks over j
 etties.\n\nCANCELLATION: CMBO programs require a minimum number of regist
 rants to run\, five days in advance of the start of the tour but are seld
 om cancelled. If we do cancel\, due to lack of participation\, severe wea
 ther\, or unforeseen circumstances\, we notify all participants in advanc
 e\, and all are eligible for a full credit or refund. Participants may ca
 ncel without penalty if greater than 30 days in advance. Cancellations 10
  to 30 days in advance may be subject to a 25% service charge. No refunds
  or credits for cancellations less than ten days in advance unless due to
